This prestigious sports event has been gathering thousands of runners from Croatia and around the world for over three decades, and this year, organizers expect a record turnout.
In addition to the traditional marathon race, participants will have the opportunity to take part in the half marathon and the Garmin 10K race, making this event suitable for all ages and fitness levels. The course takes runners through some of the most beautiful parts of the city, from Ban Jelačić Square, through historic streets and avenues, to modern sections of Zagreb, offering a unique insight into the city's rich history and culture.
The start and finish of all races will be at Zagreb's central square, Ban Jelačić Square, which will serve as the hub for sports activities, entertainment, and live music performances throughout the weekend.
The Zagreb Marathon is not only an opportunity to test physical endurance but also a platform to promote community, sportsmanship, and a healthy lifestyle. The course is certified by IAAF and AIMS, and the race results can be used to qualify for other major marathons around the world.
All participants can expect a generous race package, which includes an official race shirt, a bib with a timing chip, refreshments, a post-race meal, and a finisher’s medal. Special attention has been given to the safety and comfort of runners, with aid stations and medical support positioned along the course.
In addition to the main races, a rich side program has been prepared for visitors, including a sports equipment fair, various fun activities for children, health and fitness workshops, and live performances from musical acts, ensuring a fantastic atmosphere throughout the weekend.
Registrations for the Zagreb Marathon are open until October 1, and all interested runners can sign up through the official race website. Don’t miss the chance to be part of this sporting spectacle in the heart of Zagreb!
