Filip Zubčić Shines in Beaver Creek: Sixth Place on a Challenging Course

Croatian skier Filip Zubčić delivered another impressive performance in the Giant Slalom World Cup race held in Beaver Creek, finishing in an excellent 6th place.

In an extremely competitive event, Filip demonstrated consistency and skill, overcoming a demanding course and a strong lineup of competitors.

The race was filled with excitement, with Switzerland’s Thomas Tumler claiming his first-ever World Cup victory with a total time of 2:27.60 minutes. Tumler maintained his advantage from the first run and secured the win by just 0.12 seconds ahead of Brazil’s Lucas Braathen Pinheiro. Third place went to Slovenia’s Žan Kranjec, while Zubčić was in a tight battle with the world’s top skiers, including Norway’s McGrath and Kristoffersen.

After the first run, Filip held 7th place, trailing the leader Tumler by only 1.20 seconds. Thanks to a solid second run, where he recorded the 9th fastest time, he climbed to a final 6th place with a total deficit of 1.25 seconds. This result reaffirms Filip’s position among the world’s best giant slalom skiers.

Next, the skiers head back to Europe, where the season will continue with Giant Slalom and Slalom races in Val d’Isere. Filip Zubčić is showing great form, and we look forward to seeing him achieve more successes in the upcoming races. Well done, Filip!
