January in Zagreb in the spirit of European water polo!

Croatia will host the 2024 senior Men's European Water Polo Championship from January 4 to 16 in Zagreb and Dubrovnik

For the first time in European water polo history, two European Water Polo Championships will take place consecutively in the same country: Croatia. Moreover, the competition will be organized in a new format and in two host cities for the first time. Following the outstanding editions of the European Championship in Zagreb in 2010 and Split in 2022, Zagreb and Dubrovnik, one of the most successful and triumphant water polo centers in Europe, will be the hosts from January 4 to 16, 2024. Zagreb is fully committed to supporting its athletes. The city's great spirit of sportsmanship is widely known which also confirms Zagreb as the perfect host of the event.

As reigning European champions, Croatia will have a unique opportunity to defend their prestigious title on home soil at the 2024 European Championship. This competition also provides a chance for the Croatian national team to qualify for the World Championship in Doha next February 2024 and secure a spot in the Olympic Games in Paris. It is thus crucial for Croatian water polo, and Zagreb and Dubrovnik to strive to make this competition one of the best yet, both in terms of organization and sport. The Croatian Water Polo Federation is the organizer and expects great support by the sports audience.
